Have a great holiday!

Hi Everyone,

Last week the students enjoyed their excursion to the planetarium and it was a nice way to finish the units of work we have been doing on “Outer Space” and the “Weather”. The bus trip was rather long!!!!, but worth the extra effort to get there. As you would have seen from the overview in the report, we have been very busy in 8W over the last two terms.

This week in Maths we have continued working on subtraction, looking at different strategies we can use to work out problems. We have used counting back, skip counting backwards, using a ruler as a number line and using a 100 number chart. We have started using open number lines and participated in subtraction bingo. Next term we will be looking at money, fractions, chance and data, and multiplication.

The Integrated studies topic for the term will be “From Farm to Plate”  and the children are really excited about this. Thank you to all the parent helpers who have listened to reading this term. The children and I really appreciate your time.

Have a safe, enjoyable and restful holiday. I look forward to seeing the kids smiling faces on the first Tuesday of Term 3.

Cheers

Karina
