As we have started to return to normal, I will now list the sharing topics for term 2. Previously the topic for the week was listed in the parent notes under the English section.

Week 1- Draw a picture or take a photo of your favourite toy and describe why you like it (size, shape, colour, features).

Week 2 – A photo or picture of your oldest family member’s favourite toy (an image from google is acceptable) and why they liked it as a child.

Week 3- Draw a picture of an item that helps you learn at school and tell your teacher how it helps you.

Week 4- Describe an item that helped your oldest family member learn at school. Do we have something like this at school today?

Week 5- Choose and do an activity around the house to help mum and dad (wash dishes, clean room, chores etc). Discuss how this made you and them feel

Week 6- What housework did your oldest family member’s parents do around the house. How is this different to what your parents do today?

Week 7- How do you communicate with family members who live far away?

Week 8- How did your oldest family member communicate with others when they were a child? (letters, phone, email, morse code, smoke signals?)

Welcome to Term 4

Hi Everyone,
Welcome back to Term 4. Just letting you know some of the things we are learning this week. We have started our Science/Inquiry topic about Water. We are looking at what we need water for, the water cycle, where water comes from and answering lots of the questions the kids have come up with. In Maths we are looking at patterning and how a pattern repeats. This forms the early understandings of Algebra. We have been investigating ‘at’ word patterns in spelling. We have had a very busy first week.
Next Wednesday Belinda Cubitt will be in the class while I undertake phonological awareness testing on all the students.
Cheers
Karina
